Celebrating 5 years of Rise & Shine

Celebrating our fifth birthday recently allowed time to reflect and acknowledge the journey so far.  What became most apparent is that at the heart of Rise & Shine, is a connected eco-system of incredible people who keep it beating. The team itself; the clients; the media; the content creators; our suppliers and our friends. 

There's been a huge amount of learning and growth over this time, both personally and professionally. The team has grown from two to seven, we've gone from co-sharing an office space (thanks Two Hundred Doors) to our own beautiful space, our service offering has grown to include digital PR and social, and our portfolio today boasts some of the best local and international brands in the lifestyle space.   

Rise & Shine was set up to merge the best of in-house and agency PR life - where a team of passionate PR peers can collaborate, learn, activate, create show-stopping work and have fun throughout this process with work/life balance. I (Luci Marshall, Founder) am so proud of the culture - we all choose to come into the office every day as opposed to working from home. Even Charlie the labradoodle loves it (although is a little disruptive at times).   

Just past our first birthday Covid hit, and we lost 70% of our revenue overnight and it felt like our whole industry was collapsing.  It was emotional and tough, but we supported each other, pivoted and came out stronger. There have also been health battles, relationship breakdowns, and dogs passing away. The one constant throughout these lows has been the magic mix of people in the team who have supported each other.  

One constant throughout the five years has been the power of manifestation - from the first business plan to the people we've wanted to recruit, and the many clients we've added to our 'dream list' who have become reality.
